General
What is Eve Host Manager?
Self-hosted billing and automation software for hosting providers. It runs orders, invoices, recurring billing, payments, domains, provisioning, support and reporting on your own server rather than ours.
How much does it cost?
Free for up to 25 clients, with no licence cost and no expiry. Paid plans start at 12 US dollars a month, and annual billing works out at two months free.
How do I install it?
One command on a fresh Linux server sets up the whole stack, including HTTPS certificates, in about ten minutes. The full guide is in your account once you take a licence, which the free plan issues instantly.
Can I migrate from WHMCS?
Yes. The built-in importer brings across clients, products, services, invoices, domains, tickets and payment history. It runs as a dry run first and every batch can be rolled back.
Which payment methods are supported?
Cards through Stripe, PayPal, mobile money through M-Pesa, and a manual rail for bank transfer and cash. You connect your own merchant accounts, so money settles directly to you.
Which domain registrars are supported?
NameSilo and Dynadot for the general namespace, plus a direct EPP connection to country-code registries running on the CoCCA platform. Registrations run under your own registrar accounts.
Do you have access to my data?
No. The software runs on your infrastructure against your own database. The only outbound contact is the licence check, which reports licence state and aggregate usage counts, never client data.
What happens if your licence service is unreachable?
Your install keeps operating normally through a grace period rather than stopping. Our availability is never a dependency of your invoicing.
Which control panels are supported?
cPanel and Enhance ship as built-in adapters. Anything else can be driven through the external module contract, which is a signed HTTP interface rather than a plugin inside our codebase.
Is card data stored on my server?
No. Cards are tokenised by the payment processor, so the card number never reaches your server, and card data is never carried across during a migration.
Can I white label it?
Your logo, colours and portal domain are configurable from the Starter plan up. A complete white label, with no EveHM branding on any client-facing surface, is included on Business.
What do I need to run it?
A Linux server and two DNS records, one for your client portal and one for your admin panel. Everything else is handled during deployment.
Features
Does it bill in advance or in arrears?
In advance. The renewal invoice is generated ahead of the due date, and the service term extends when it is paid.
Whose merchant accounts are used?
Yours. You connect your own gateway credentials in the admin panel, so settlements land in your account and never pass through us.
Can I change the invoice numbering format?
Yes. The prefix and sequence are configurable, and imported invoices keep their original numbers so your history stays continuous.

Which registrars are supported?
NameSilo and Dynadot for the general namespace, plus a direct EPP connection to country-code registries running on the CoCCA platform. Further adapters can be added.
Can I use my own domain for the portal?
Yes, from the Starter plan up, with HTTPS certificates issued automatically for your portal and admin domains.
Does the clock count time waiting on the customer?
No. It runs only while the ticket is waiting on your team, which is the only version of the metric that is fair to measure staff on.
Is MRR calculated from cash or from contracts?
From live recurring services and their billing cycles, which is the figure that shows where the business is heading. Cash collected appears separately.
What do I need to run it?
A Linux server and two DNS records, one for your client portal and one for your admin panel. Everything else is handled during deployment.
Where are backups stored?
On your server, and optionally pushed to any S3-compatible object store you configure. They are encrypted with a passphrase only you hold.
Will my invoice numbers stay the same?
Yes. Imported invoices keep their original numbers and prefixes so your accounting history stays continuous.
Solutions
Can I bill in more than one currency?
Yes. Products carry prices per currency, and reports stay grouped by currency rather than converted into one.
Do I need my own registrar accreditation?
You connect your own registrar credentials, so registrations are made under your own relationship and your clients remain yours.
What does the module contract require?
An HTTP endpoint that accepts signed lifecycle requests and returns a documented response shape. It is a contract, not a plugin inside our codebase.
Can I bill services that are not hosting?
Yes. Products are generic, so a monthly retainer or a support contract bills exactly like a hosting package.
Still unsure?
Run it on a spare server and answer the question yourself. The free plan makes that free.
