Terms of service

1. Scope

These terms govern your use of the EveHM website and the licensing service through which you buy, trial, renew and validate a licence. Your use of Eve Host Manager itself is governed by thelicence agreement, which takes precedence where the two overlap.

2. Accounts

You need an account to obtain a licence. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for everything done under your account. Enable two-factor authentication. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Plans, billing and renewal

• Paid licences are sold on a monthly or annual cycle and renew automatically until cancelled.
• The annual price is ten times the monthly price. Annual licences run for 365 days.
• Prices are shown in USD and KES and exclude any tax due in your jurisdiction.
• The free plan carries no licence fee, is limited to 25 clients and one staff account, and does not expire. We may change its limits on reasonable notice.
• Cancel at any time from your portal account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term.
• If a renewal payment fails, the licence enters a grace period before it is suspended. Your data is not touched by us at any point, because it is not ours to touch.

4. Trials

A trial gives full Pro capability for its stated duration, requires no card and is limited to one per account. Trials may not be chained by creating additional accounts.

5. Refunds

If a paid licence does not work as described, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund it. We do not refund a term that has been substantially used, and we do not refund renewals you forgot to cancel, though we will always look at genuine mistakes.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share, resell or sublicense a licence key beyond the installations it covers.
• Circumvent, disable or tamper with licence validation, the integrity checks or the usage reporting in the software.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code, except where law permits it.
• Use the service to break the law, or to bill for activity that does.
• Probe or load-test our infrastructure without written permission.

Report a security vulnerability privately tosecurity@evehm.com. We will acknowledge it and keep you updated through the fix.

7. Your installation is yours

You run the software on infrastructure you control. You are responsible for that server, its security, its backups and its compliance with the law that applies to you and your clients. The software ships with encrypted backup tooling, and we strongly recommend configuring an offsite target and testing a restore.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the licensing service continuously available but do not guarantee it. Validation does not require a live connection on every request, so an interruption at our end does not stop your installation from operating.

9. Suspension

We may suspend or revoke a licence for non-payment, for a material breach of these terms, or where validation activity indicates the key is being used outside its licensed scope. Except in cases of clear abuse, we will contact you first.

10. Intellectual property

EveHM and Eve Host Manager, including the software, this website and the branding, remain our property. A licence grants the rights described in the licence agreement and nothing more. Your data, your branding and your client relationships remain entirely yours.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to account holders and reflected in the date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
